Happy Weekend everyone! You know what I love about weekend? (besides not working) SLEEP! The way Rye and I work it is that one of us gets up with Nate one day and the other one takes the other day. So this morning was my turn to sleep in! Nate and Rye got up at 7:30am and I got the luxury of sleeping until 9:30am. I then had a very healthy breakfast consisting of *don't judge me unless you've ever been pregnant* pepperettes, a diet coke and a few sour keys. Nate also brightened up our morning by pooping 4 times! 4 TIMES before noon!! Seriously, what are they feeding this kid at daycare?? Then he and I went down for a nap at 12:30pm, he got up at 1:30pm and I kept on sleeping until 2:30pm, so it's no surprise I woke up with a headache! Too much sleep :( Silly me. Thankfully I'm starting to feel better already. My amazing hubby is doing laundry and I've done absolutely nothing! Well that's not true, I put in my picks for the NFL playoffs and also made my pro line tickets! Wish me luck! I'm doing 2 pro line tickets because I have a soft spot for Baltimore after seeing 'The Blind Side' (Hello Michael Oher!) although I really don't think they'll beat New England, even without my man Wes Welker. Speaking of 'The Blind Side', GREAT movie, although I didn't even realize the Dad was Tim McGraw until like half way through the movie, he looks really weird without a cowboy hat. I was half expecting him to turn up as a different character but then I realized it must be him.
Today I bit my son! HA! Yes I know how that sounds. He bites! Mainly just Rye and I, he's never bitten a child at his daycare (whew!! Although he has bitten his friend Jacob twice but we're pretty sure he deserved it). He's not really getting it when we tell him that we don't bite people, no biting, etc. So I decided to try and bite him back, I have heard that this works and I've also heard that it doesn't. So I bite him and the little bastard laughs at me! Turns out I didn't bite him hard enough :( I was afraid to hurt him! Which I guess is besides the point really, so Rye bit him the next time, let me just state that we're not just randomly biting him as we please, we waited until he bit us first, this time, it worked, he got all whiny afterwards, so we'll see if it has any lasting effects, he hasn't tried to bite us since but it's not like he walks around biting us all day long or anything. I will keep you guys posted.
It goes without saying that we did not win the Lotto Max - DAMMIT! Sadly, I had to cancel the limo that would take us downtown to claim our winnings on Monday morning. Oh well, I still have my boys to comfort me and that's all that really matter anyways :)
Now to the fun part! One of the gossip sites I visit, laineygossip.com (it's Canadian too! Holla!), does "The Freebie Five" inspired by the Friends episode where you choose five 'unattainables' to spend the night with. You get one night only, or two, in bed, which Lainey explains is why she doesn't have Johnny Depp on her list, because you see, Johnny Depp is a lifetime. This is about fantasy and celebrity, conversation is optional, so don't be ashamed to put David Beckham on your list, as Lainey says, "he doesn't have to talk to me while he's rockin me" LOL. My current list is below, in no special order.
Steph's Freebie Five:
1. Josh Duhamel
2. James Franco
3. Gerard Butler
4. Bradley Cooper
5. Channing Tatum
Please post your list in the comment section below. Don't be scared, we're not here to judge.
Until next time!

Life in general
Hello peeps! Day 2 of the blog writing commences. Business as usual. Feeling a little more preggers today because the shirt I'm wearing is nice and snug. I'm trying to remember that this may be the last time I'll be pregnant so I should enjoy it and take it all in. After all this is a really special time in our lives and not every woman gets to carry a life, we are truly blessed! If you ladies out there get the chance to have a baby, I highly recommend it! And if you can't for whatever reason then adopt! Never has life been so much fun. Nate is hilarious and the cutest thing in the world (to us at least). I look forward to seeing him each and everyday and when I'm at work, I miss him so much. I'm soooo jealous of all those stay at home Mom's. All I want to do is stay at home with the kids. My Mom did it with us, maybe that's why I feel so strongly about this. But we have to be realistic and it's not feasible at this point in our lives.
Speaking of Mom's and family, I have to say that I love my family so much. Don't get me wrong, I've always loved them but as you get older and start to have a family of your own you really realize what's important to you. I really think that at this point in my life, I have never had a better relationship with each and every one of them, and that goes for my sister in laws too! I'm feeling all emotional now! Due to recent events lately and well, life in general, I'm just so, so thankful for all the love. My extended family, aunts, uncles, cousins etc are also great. I think I may have the funniest family ever. Family dinners and events are nothing but laughs. I'm all about the fun. Isn't that what life is all about?! P.S. I miss you guys!! When are we doing Clay's birthday weekend??
Speaking of fun - note the sarcasm there - I have to give a shout out to my cousin Chris who is overseas in Afghanistan right now. I am quite the proud cousin! It's really crazy to think that he's there. None of us have any idea of what it's like and hopefully we never will. I have the utmost respect for the men and women of our country who put there lives on the line each and every day. Oh and Chris - I'm burning movies for you this weekend!
Here's something I found quite amusing. I have to apologize ahead of time to Rye's Cousin Erin from Alabama - now Erin, I love and respect you and hold you in very high regard so don't take this personally, I'd also like to add that my Auntie Carol and Uncle Paul are American too and we definitely don't hold that against any of you :) With that out of the way, Erin asked Rye and I earlier this week what us Canadians call woolly winter hats because they call them - brace yourself - toboggans! She didn't think we called them that because toboggans are sleds. Too funny! So I explained to her that toboggans are in fact sleds and we call them 'toques' - which rightly so might be funny to them as well since it's french Canadian. It's been snowing in Alabama this week so the jokes are endless! It's just too easy! Thank you to Erin!!
I guess that's it for now. Questions, comments, heckling are always welcome.
Ohhhh and Lotto Max is 40 Million tonight, we're planning on winning so don't bother wasting your money on a ticket! But no need to worry, we do have something in store for our favourite friends and family with our winnings.
I have something special for all of you tomorrow :) Tune in!

First Post! YAY!
Welcome to my blog! The idea is to write about my second pregnancy but so far it's been pretty uneventful. I'll give you some background to start. I have to admit this pregnancy was a bit of a surprise - a welcomed surprise of course, we were already talking about the idea of trying for a second and this just sped things along. So when they say that it only takes once, it's true, it really only takes once!
The first 2 weeks or so, I was so sick, I could barely keep anything down and the idea of food was completely unappetizing! Things have been business as usual since and sometimes I forget I'm pregnant, at least until I start 'showing' and feeling the baby regularly, which probably won't be for another month or so. Right now I'm in week 15 out of 40 (ish), so it's still fairly early but into the second trimester. With Nate I didn't start showing until around 5 months so I figure this will be the same, although they say with your second everything starts to happen sooner. So this is where we are at now. Waiting...and waiting...so it feels like. I really just want to get to the second ultrasound at 18-20 weeks, this is the big one, the one where you can *hopefully* find out the sex of the baby! For all you critics out there that think we should wait and be surprised - too bad, so sad! Not gonna happen! We found out with Nate and we want to find out this time as well. I can't wait that long. Seriously, I like to know things, how books and movies end, I read spoilers for tv shows all the time, I hate surprises, so let this be a lesson, if you're thinking of surprising me - don't - I'll just be disappointed, surprises are never as good as you think they're going to be.
So do I have a feeling if it's a boy or a girl? Hmmmm I dunno yet, too soon to tell, I am leaning towards one way but I don't want to say in case I'm wrong. They say mother's intuition is 80% correct, which poses another question - who are 'they' anyways? With Nate I knew all along ,this time is more difficult, if I had stayed nauseous like in the beginning I would definitely say girl but now because I've been feeling great, just super tired, I'm back to square one.
So this being the end of my first post, I hope you've enjoyed reading as much as I've enjoyed writing. Please feel free to comment, it makes me feel good. Ask me anything, I will be as honest as I can lol and if you know at all you know I'm not about the bullshit.
I'll leave you with this:
Do you think we're having a boy or a girl?
What's up with celebrities and their fake accents? I'm looking at you Madonna, Johnny Depp and Lady Gaga!
